The overarching theme of Susan Cohen Thompson's art is a deep interconnection with nature. The work is inspired by dreams and a mystical communion with the forest.

The studio abuts the gateway to a state forest along the Northern Puget Sound in Washington State.  It is generally calm there with trees, water, birds. The art reflects this environment.
